John Griffin, Past President
John is originally from Hereford, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M in May of 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and a Certificate in Leadership Studies and Development from the School of Military Science and the Leadership Excellence Program. During his time at Texas A&M, John was a member of Squadron 2, the Fish Drill Team, the Ross Volunteer Company, the AMC Guard, the O.R. Simpson Honor Society, and the Cadet Leadership Council in the Corps of Cadets. He served as Sergeant Major of the Second Wing, Historian of the Ross Volunteer Company, Commander of the AMC Guard, and Chaplain of the Corps. He was also the President of the Pre-Law Society, President of Resurrection Week, Business Caucus Leader of the Student Senate, Vice President for the Class of 2009, and was selected for the Mays Business Fellows Program - Group XXVII.
John graduated from the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in May of 2012, where he was the Treasurer of the Student Bar Association, President of the Aggie Law Students, President of the Board of Advocates, Senate Dean of Delta Theta Phi, Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and a member of the traveling Mock Trial and Moot Court teams. He sat on the Student Alumni Advisory Board and the Student Ambassador Recruiting Team and was selected for the Order of Barristers and the Mahon Inn of Court. It was during this time that John began serving as the student representative to the Texas Aggie Bar Association Board, becoming a director upon graduation.
After law school, he worked with the firm of Brown, Pruitt, Wambsganss, Ferrill, & Dean in Fort Worth and did curative oil and gas title work for Holland Acquisitions before his current position as a Corporate Counsel at Alliance Data Systems Corporation in Plano. John served on the inaugural Young Alumni Advisory Council for the Association of Former Students for three terms and is the father of Avery Morgan Griffin, Future Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2034. He is involved in his church, St. Ann Catholic Parish, in Coppell, is a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, and is likewise a candidate in formation for the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
